Public Pools
The Piedmont Triad also offers many public pools for you to cool off in the summer months. The places listed in the directory below are public pools, but may charge an entrance fee.
Splash Pads
You don’t need a huge body of water to cool off in the summer! Splash pads offer a great alternative to traditional pools and can be fun for the whole family!
Water Parks
Looking for a bit more of an adventure? Check out one of the water parks in the area to cool off and get your adrenaline fix at the same time!
Natural Swimming Areas
Bring your bathing suit! If you are looking for a secluded place to jump in the water, you will find numerous swimming holes on many of our lakes and rivers. Natural pools are sometimes located at the base of a waterfall, like at the end of the Lower Cascades Trail in Hanging Rock State Park or along Elkin Creek at Carter Falls. Remember to leave these natural places in the same state you left them!
