Yadkin Memorial Park offers trails, playground, picnic shelters, and disc golf. It is also home to Lake Hampton, a 140 acres of beautiful water that is an excellent area to fish or simply float and relax on your kayak, canoe or boat. Bring your own vessel or rent one. Recently, camping facilities have been added to the park! Enjoy 7 primitive, walk-up campsites, one of which is handicap accessible. The George Sappenfield Disc Golf Course is located at Yadkin Memorial Park East (2513 Ireland Rd).

A month-long honeymoon in the south of France in 1996 changed the lives of these former art teachers. Michael and Amy Helton returned home with a love of old world wine and the countryside, and by December, Hanover Park Vineyard in the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina began. Two artists and teachers took a chance, worked very hard, and turned an old farm into a thriving vineyard.

The Yadkin County Quilt Trail’s purpose is to honor quilting traditions and to promote cultural heritage, tourism, farming traditions, and agritourism. The trail started as a grassroots effort sponsored by the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center and is now supported by the Yadkin County Tourism Development Authority. Stop at the Yadkin County Chamber and Visitor Center for a brochure and a map to guide exploration on this trail where visitors can discover the rolling farmland of Yadkin County and enjoy 50 barn quilts showcasing historic and current quilt patterns.

Yadkinville Community Park offers lots of fun for kids and big kids alike. A walking trail goes around the park for which you can commune with nature and exercise. We have a wonderful playground, picnic shelter, picnic tables, grills, and a stage. During the summer you can enjoy in the park concerts.

This Course is beginner friendly and features 18 holes. Restrooms and a picnic shelter are open to park goers. Walking trails on this course offer an amazing view of the park! Disc golf discs sales offered at the Memorial Park Office Located at the 1142 Crystal Ln.

Yadkin County Park has been a fixture of recreation in Yadkin County over the last 30 years, and had a major “face-lift” just in the last few years. Beyond just repairs and general improvements, the park gained a wonderful playground to honor Lance Corporal Daniel Freeman Swaim, additional soccer fields, a fishing pier, an expanded disc golf course, canopy over some of the playground, and a small picnic shelter beside the playground.

Located on Main Street in downtown Yadkinville, the Arts Center’s mission is to enrich the lives of every citizen of Yadkin County and beyond by providing opportunities for artists, no matter what their specific creative outlet. The Yadkin Arts Center houses two galleries, a performing arts academy, private space for rent, and is home to the Willingham theatre, which can seat up to 193 guests.  

Different from the other County parks, Shore-Styers Mill Nature Park is all about sharing one of the most beautiful sites of Yadkin County. This small nature park is situated on North Deep Creek and has a cascade as the center piece. This is a well-loved location for photography, and it is common to see special occasion pictures (senior pictures, engagement/wedding photos, etc.) being taken with the cascade as a back drop.
