Public trail on the Crossnore Communities for Children property in Winston-Salem. Two trailheads, one off Reynolda Road and another on Gillete Street, connecting the historic Boston-Thurmond neighborhood established in the 1890’s with the Buena Vista neighborhood along Reynolda Road. Great views of rolling pastures, large oak trees, and the Winston-Salem skyline. The main trail is 0.75-miles one way. The North loop is 1-mile and the South loop is 0.75 miles.

Allen Wildflower Preserve is a breathtakingly beautiful woodland wildflower garden; home to 28 of the 35 known eastern North American Trillium, 30 species of ferns, the state and federal species of special concern Oconee Bells (Shortia glacifolia) and many others. The Piedmont Land Conservancy manages the preserve, which is open to the public by appointment only.
