The Bryan Park complex includes 36 holes of championship golf, a golf practice and learning facility, pro shop, grill and the 22,000 square foot Bryan Enrichment Center, available for meetings, weddings and special events.

Lake Brandt is an 816-acre municipal reservoir. Fishing is allowed from the pier or from a boat. No bank fishing is allowed. Fishing is most successful for largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Kayaking, stand-up paddling boarding, and canoeing are allowed on Lake Brandt. A launch ramp is open for private boats. Privately owned canoes and kayaks may be launched year-round. Rowboats, kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes are available to the public for in-season daily rental. No swimming or wading is allowed at Lake Brandt or any of the Greensboro City Lakes.

This craft microbrewery/taproom opened in 2014 and has produced award-winning beer since then. They use well water from a local farm, malts from a seventh-generation family of malt producers and recipes that are carefully developed and executed to stylistically accurate beer.

Adjacent to Lake Brandt, this 250-acre park provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities to Guilford County residents including, fishing, hiking/biking trails, playground, tennis courts, and picnic shelters. Spend an entire day visiting the Bur-Mil Park Aquatic Center, Golf Course, and Wildlife Education Center.

Nat Greene Trail (3.6 miles) is one of the oldest and most popular of the City’s watershed trails. It winds through diverse mixed hardwoods and pines along the watershed buffer of Lake Brandt’s southeast edge. Wildflowers and running cedar adorn the trail as it meanders around the coves of Lake Brandt. Explore the trail from Lake Brandt Marina and learn about the plant and tree diversity on the interpretive signs interspersed along the trail. A 400-foot boardwalk near the Old Battleground Road trailhead allows hikers to cross mud flats and bogs where Horse Pen Creek feeds into Lake Brandt.

The Piedmont Trail (2.75 miles) traverses a kudzu field before jutting into the wooded watershed buffer on the north shores of Lake Brandt. The trail takes hikers by blackberries, strawberries, cherry trees, stands of cedar and wildflowers. Keep an eye out for whitetail deer, wild turkeys or an Eastern Bog Turtle, the official state reptile, near the trail.
