Visitors to Edward G. Murrell Park at 315 10th Street, just across the street from the community center can take advantage of the playground, basketball court, picnic shelter and a paved walking path.

Skyview Farm is located on 25 acres and is a hunter/jumper barn & offers riding lessons.

Grove Winery specializes in growing and crafting exceptional European-style wines. The main estate vineyards, winery, event facilities and tasting room is located in the Haw River Valley AVA. Their grapes are hand harvested and use for a limited production of 3,000 cases of premium wine each year.

Country Hills Golf Course is an 18-hole course built in 1994 with Champion Bermuda greens and Hybrid 419 Bermuda fairways. Water comes into play on numerous holes with hilly terrain and sand traps making for a challenging, but very enjoyable round of golf.

Of the 720 acres currently under the County Farm management; 600 acres are leased to local farmers growing crops and raising cattle and 120 acres are maintained by the county to support the community with nationally recognized hiking trails, greenhouses, vineyards, fishing ponds, and much more!

Outside of charming downtown Gibsonville, this local favorite offers baseball / softball fields, two tennis courts, a beach volley ball court, picnic shelters, as well as open space and walking trails. There are few quiet weekends where this park is not active. Come join in the fun!

At the Brooks Bridge put-in you get a taste of what’s to come a ways down river: a feisty Class I rapid that encourages some quick maneuvering from the rock slab put-in. That’s all quickly behind you in the first 30 yards or so. From there, the intimate, narrow Haw – rarely more than 20 feet from bank to bank – hushes itself with a quiet passage beneath a bottomland forest canopy that blocks the sun and a wickedly dense understory that blots out the slowly developing world beyond. Agriculture and private hunting grounds dominate the terrain, though there are signs of emerging development. Still, a quiet paddle is nearly assured on this stretch.

The Aquatic Centers offer a wide variety of amenities for all ages. Enjoy sitting comfortable lounge chairs in the shade provided by over-sized umbrellas. The adventuresome attempt dare-devil feats on the diving boards.  Younger children use the beach entry feature and splash around the raindrop under the watchful eye of certified lifeguards.  Spacious locker rooms, picnic tables, and food concessions are available to ensure a more enjoyable visit to the pool.

Visitors to Northeast Park can choose from a wide variety of outdoor experiences to enjoy. Our state of the art aquatic center, miles and miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, athletic fields, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and open space afford people of all ages and interests the opportunity to participate in both active and passive recreation. The park is also home to the Holly Run disc golf course.

Our state-of-the-art 15,000 square foot community center includes a full-size gymnasium and two classrooms/meeting rooms which are available for private rental.The building is a great affordable location for your next birthday party, shower, business meeting or family gathering. Many amenities included with ample parking.
