Carolina Heritage specialize in organically raised and handpicked from their 9 acres of hybrid and muscadine wine grapes and their 1.5 acres of blueberries to produce naturally delicious wines. They do not use any animal by-products of grains in the production of our wines resulting in wines which are vegan friendly and gluten free.

Slightly Askew offers wine produced from local juices, as well as juices from some of the best wine regions around the world. They offer a large selection of sweet fruit wines along with dry and semi-dry reds and whites. They also offer a four -bedroom rental accommodation near the Winery.

Elkin can boast a segment of the historic Overmountain Victory Trail, a Federal linear park, which follows the route of the Overmountain Men as they made their way to the Battle of King’s Mountain in the Revolutionary War. This trail begins at Elkin Municipal Park and currently runs west along the Yadkin River. The Elkin Valley Trails Association is working with the Overmountain Victory Trail Association to enhance and extend this trail.

The site of an historic grist mill built in 1896 and gracing a special spot where two creeks join together to become one, Elkin Creek Vineyard is a one-of-a-kind destination. They are currently open for special events only.

Carter Falls trail is a 1-mile loop trail in Elkin with a beautiful waterfall view half-way along the trail. Carter Falls is located on Big Elkin Creek.

They craft beer both core styles and not-so-core-styles, but always with the highest quality with local ingredients whenever possible. Their unique Jack’s Brood beers are co-fermented. Skull Camp launched onto the NC winemaking scene in 2008 as an exploration into the fun side of wine. Their semi-dry blends are named for states of mind – Confusion, Dedication, Ephoria and Obsession to name a few. These are NC’s first canned wines!
