The Caraway Creek Preserve is the second preserve managed by the Piedmont Land Conservancy. This 167-acre preserve offers three loop trails with access sites along Caraway Creek: Burl Trail (0.6 miles), Laurel Loop Trail (1 mile), and Caraway Forest Trail (0.7 miles).

Asheboro Memorial Park offers many recreation activities including a pool, tennis center, playground, ballfields, volleyball, and picnic shelters.

The skate park is located adjacent to Asheboro Memorial Park. The park is a combination indoor/outdoor facility. With over 2,500 sq. ft. of interior and 7,500 sq. ft. of exterior space, there are 10,000 sq. ft. of skating surface!

Pisgah Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that spans the west fork of the Little River in Randolph County, North Carolina. It is one of two remaining original historic covered bridges in the state, and is designated as both a local and federal historic landmark.

McCrary Park has a lighted field with restrooms (Closed During Winter Months), and a concession stand. This field is home of the Asheboro High School, American Legion, and Asheboro ZooKeeper’s (formerly the Copperheads) Baseball teams.

The Birkhead Mountain Wilderness is also considered State Game Lands. Hunting is allowed in the area. Orange is not required of the hikers, but is recommended from Sept through Jan.
