The vineyard is 5.5 acres and is located on peaceful 43 acres in the Yadkin Valley AVA (American Viticulture Area). They planted in the spring of 2012: Vitis Vinifera (European Wine style) grapes. They currently have 5 varieties of Vitis Vinifera (European Wine style) grapes. Red wine varieties are Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Mourvedre, and Malbec. White wine variety is Vermentino.

Tharrington Park, located behind BH Tharrington Primary School, offers 2 soccer fields and 1 baseball/softball diamond primarily used for T-Ball. Park-goers will also be able to access the Granite City Greenway as well as the Ararat River via a Canoe / Boat Launch.

There are two large marinas on the lake including Carolina Marina and Humphrey’s Ridge Family Marina. There are two other smaller access points including Pine Hall Boat Access and Piney Bluff Access. Humphrey’s Ridge Marina offers food service and a place to boat and jetski.
