Badkin Lake sits on the border of Montgomery and Stanly County and is adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest. The reservoir covers an area of 5,350 acres with 115 miles of shoreline, and a maximum depth of 200 feet. Water fluctuations are minor. The Badin Lake Recreation Area offers swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking trails, equestrian trails, four-wheel drive trails, mountain biking trails & camping opportunities. The Lakemont Access area offers 51 boat trailer spaces and 2 universal access spaces.
