Adagio is a musical term meaning “slowly with passion.” The property for the main vineyard was purchased in 2005 and is a mile away from the winery/tasting room at an elevation of 1300 ft. Grapes were first planted in 2009 and again in 2012, while the “baby vineyard” was added next to the winery in 2014. There are 7 acres total including varietals Arandell, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Traminette and Chardonnay. They have a 2400 sq/ft tasting room is built above the 3000-sq.ft. winery which is underground for controlled temperature and humidity. Their award-winning wines are named with musical terms which depict their origin, composition or sensory characteristics. They currently offer 10 wines – red and white varieties. The Tasting Room also provides a showcase for Jan’s violins and violin making. They also do special events.
