Deep River

The Deep River State Trail was authorized by the NC General Assembly in 2007. This is a unique trail in that it is a hybrid trail, both a land-based hikinDeep River State Trail Logog trail and a blueway paddle trail. Currently, not all sections of the trail are complete. Eventually, both the land and water trail will start in Jamestown (Guilford County) at High Point Lake, continue to Randleman Lake in Randolph County, meander through Franklinville and Ramseur in RandolphCounty, then traverse Moore, Chatham, and Lee counties until it reaches the Haw River, just below Jordan Lake. Paddlers can access the river from locations in Randleman, Worthville, and Ramseur.  There are also three boating access locations at High Point Lake, Southwest Park, and Randleman Lake.
