The vineyard is on 18 acres and includes Cabernet Franc, Chamboucin, Riesling, Petit Manseng, Carlos and Nobel Muscadines – a native NC grape. Ben wanted to help the community of Mt. Airy by re-establishing the downtown area as a vibrant, growing economic center. Therefore, he established his Winery Tasting Room/Restaurant in a former hardware store built in 1890 on Main Street and has created a fun, hip, up-beat atmosphere that not only serves good wines by food, entertainment and events.
